I’m a first-year research master's student in the School of Computer Science at University College Dublin, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Rob Brennan and Prof. Dr. Gareth Jones. My research focuses on task-agnostic information value calculation for Machine Learning models using information theory. In addition, I work on neuroimaging, primarily in fMRI and EEG signal processing. As hobby, I enjoy VLSI design and robotics (just the decision making part).

My primary research interest is Machine Learning Interpertability i.e., how the decisions are made by the model.

Research Motivation

My interest in pursuing a research career is motivated by these three topics:
  • Model Understanding: Understanding the fundamental principles behind machine learning models and their decision-making processes.
  • Mini Memory-Complimentary chip: For person with dementia or alzheimer's disease, can we develop any complementary device that can act as an unit of memory for them? It might not have to be as advanced as a human memory, but just to remember their loved ones, and their daily survival tasks. My drive for this topic is due to my grandfather who recently got diagnosed with dementia.
  • Quantum Principles in Neuroscience: Along with the electrical principal of brain, how can we accomodate quantum principles understanding more aspect of the brain's functioning?
